Since everybody's going competitive, I figured that it would be nice to hold in-team tournaments and have our very own ranking system. The purpose of all this hullabaloo is not to know who is the best in SBPH (or who's the worst), but as a venue for serious dueling practice. The ranking is just for fun, and I might use the Challonge's seeded bracket shuffling whatever. So without further ado, I shall describe the mechanics of the SBPH Ladder System.
Mechanics:
Every week, the members of SBPH who join the SBPH Ladder System are entitled a maximum of fifteen sanctioned duels, which will be recorded in this manner: x - y, wherein x is the number of wins while y is the number of losses, per week.
For a duel to be considered sanctioned. there should be a referee spectating the duel. The referees are the officers of SBPH, and the current SBPH leader, Ieranziel. In case none of us would be online, there should be a member or another person refereeing, and two screenshots -- the beginning of the match and the screen wherein it shows that x has beaten y -- should be sent to Ieranziel as proof of the win.
The format of the duels should be 4v4 or 6v6, OU, UU, or OU/UU, singles or doubles, depending on what the theme of the week would be, or the choice of the duelers.
The clauses are Item Clause, Bag Item Clause, Sleep Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, OHKO Clause, Pristine Clause, Self-KO Clause, Hax Item Clause, and Time Clause. Kamikaze Clause may or may not apply, the referee will just denote it before the match. Slaking is the only banned pokemon. Violation of these clauses and bans will result to an instant loss. Location of duels will be decided by the duelers, hopefully in a convenient location. We might record matches, too. SBPH might be making a youtube channel. Lels.
Rankings will be posted every Sunday, 8PM GMT + 8. There may or may not be a seeded tournament at the end of the month. For the month of may, it will not be seeded. To abide by the Law of Averages, a player will only be ranked after he has participated
10 matches. Ranking will not be based by the number of wins, but by win rate [ (Wins divided by total number of matches) x 100 ].
To join the SBPH Ladder Rankings, you must be a member of SBPH.
Register here. The Ladder System will start as soon as members register.
Enjoy, SBPH! Study hard, play harder!!
